Mio C320

Mio C320 Review:
The Mio C320 is the perfect travel companion. A stylish, portable device combining GPS based personal navigation with a full featured MP3 audio player, the C320 makes it easy to get where you’re going and makes sure you’re looking good along the way. The most striking feature of the Mio C320 is the widescreen display with its unique splitscreen interface. Designed to deliver every bit of information you need as you travel, you can easily keep an eye on upcoming turns, selected Point of Interest categories, or detailed trip information as you travel. The new Mio C320 is a little navigation device that alerts you when you stray too far above the speed limit and also keeps track of speed traps and red light cameras. The Mio C320 may lack the Bluetooth connectivity of its the highly regarded older sibling, the C520, but it packs most of that unit’s thunder. It carries the same bright 4.3-inch widescreen display and media player, as well as Mio’s terrific user interface, which allows you to speed up your destination entry by starting with the zip code and has one of the best, most intuitive systems for adding waypoints before or after your first-entered destination.

The Mio C320 boasts a sleek design with a beautiful widescreen display, and it performs solidly, providing accurate text- and voice-guided directions. It has sleek design (4.9 inches wide by 3.1 inches high by 0.5 inch deep; 6.7 ounces) and the nice 4.3-inch-wide touch screen. The display has a 65,000-color output at 480×272 pixel resolution, so maps were bright and easy to read. For the most part, we were able to view the screen in various lighting conditions, though colors washed out a bit in bright sunlight. The Mio C320 comes preloaded with maps of the entire U.S. as well as over 1.7 million Point of Interest locations. This robust map data will make it easy to navigate to virtually any restaurant, gas station, hotel or nightspot you may be looking for. Family vacations, business travel or simple day trips are more enjoyable than ever with the Mio C320. Every adventure needs a soundtrack and the Mio C320 includes a full featured MP3 player to make sure that you’re in tune while you’re in motion. For the ultimate audio experience, the C320’s MP3 player boasts a number of custom EQ settings, a built in speaker and a 2.5mm headphone jack. And finally, the Mio DigiWalker™ C320 also features an integrated SD memory card slot so it’s easy to carry your entire music collection with you. The Mio C320 is equipped with a 20-channel SiRFIII GPS chip and comes preloaded with TeleAtlas maps of the United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. You can start planning a trip by entering a specific address, picking a POI, selecting a destination from your My Favorites or recent destinations list; or you can tap a point on the map and hitting the Route To option. The system can create directions by fastest, shortest, or most economical route; with or without toll roads, highways, U-turns, and so forth; and in various modes, including car, bicycle, and pedestrian.
