I am directionally challenged, nice way to put it. I bought Garmin nuvi 350 because I was making a trip to NYC with my daughter and granddaughter. Let me tell you, nuvi 350 was right on the money. Well worth what I spent. We did not have a single problem getting to NYC and we did not have a paper map, only Garmin! Another great feature is that when we wanted to leave, I just had to push the “Go Home” button and it mapped it out for us. Going home I did make a wrong turn (my fault, not Garmin’s) and it immediately recalculated the new route. Once again, got us home without any problems. I would highly recommend …

I love Garmin nuvi 350 for the most part. It is great, says out street names, has a nice bright screen and everything that you expect out of a great GPS. Trust me it has all of it. But now for the stupid quirks which irk people like me and I’m sure irritate many others too using this one. I used the Garmin nuvi 350 for a road trip to Santa Fe, Taos, Chimayo; New Mexico from Salt Lake City, Utah. The nuvi 350 worked great 98% percent of the trip. In New Mexico taking the faster route sometimes meat taking the scenic route. I enjoyed it very much. The faster, back road routes saved me at least a tank of gas. For some reason Price, Utah was a challenge for the Garmin 350 and locked up. I had to reset the 350 and the balance of the trip out and back was great. On the return trip everything work fine. I bought the Garmin nuvi 350 right before a trip to Charleston, SC from the Philadelphia area where we live.
The nuvi navigated us effectively the whole way even through Wash. DC. When it came time to get a motel (we took 2 days) in northern NC, we were pleasantly surprised the Garmin have driving instructions to all the motels in the AAA book we had.
Then, while in Charleston, we used it to navigate around to restaurants and various sites; e.g., Patriot’s Point.

All in all, an amazing and effective product at a great price!!
By the way, I’d recommend spending several hours to download the free 2009 upgrade available from Garmin.
